Full description: Biological basis of rearing and breeding of freshwater fish. Methods and technologies of rearing fish. The protection and welfare of fish. The totality of economic activities related to inland fisheries environmental considerations fish breeding and methods to improve production efficiency.

Learning outcomes: After course completion In area of knowledge: 1. The student has a general knowledge of fisheries production. 2. The student has a basic knowledge of the sustainable use and protection of the diversity of species of farmed fish. In area of skills: 1. The student demonstrates the ability to analyze each stage of rearing, taking into account critical elements. 2. The student has the ability to develop guidelines for the breeding of certain fish species. In area of social competences: 1. Student can in a responsible manner to refer to animals. 2. The student is able to take responsibility for the safety and protection of farmed animals and the environment.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: Completion of the course: students with credit exercises automatically receive course credit.
